Ninetology and Qualcomm Spread Its Wings Across ASEAN in Style!

The last time I drove alone to the furthest was Putrajaya. I enjoy the bliss of driving alone in the sparsely occupied lanes of MEX Highway. No traffic lights, no traffic jams all the way straight to the destination. This time, I have to drive even further down to Sepang Aircraft Engineering. It was so much further than to reach Sepang I thought I have just drove to another world.

I didn't drove there for nothing but to witness the aircraft livery of Ninetology and Qualcomm which mark their ASEAN Wide Expansion Initiative. So what's aircraft livery is all about? Closest example would be LRT, sometimes you see a whole LRT painted with for example Maxis's print, from the exterior to the interior. Posters inside the wall of the LRT, on the handles, even then seats were painted with their company's corporate color etc. Aircraft livery is where product print were printed on the exterior and interior of an aircraft.

Just in case you haven't heard about Ninetology, they are an ASEAN mobile device technology company where they sell smart mobile devices that are priced reasonably while not jeopardizing details and appearance.


As I walked into the hall, infront of my eyes were a plane wrapped with Ninetology's U9 logo print. With this aircraft livery on selected aircrafts, Ninetology and Qualcomm will be spreading their wings across the countries of Asean!




The interior of the plane was also wrapped with their corporate colours. Prints about their company can be seen at the behind of every seat. 





During the press conference, Sean Ng, the Chief Executive Officer of Ninetology Malaysia told the media that they have sold 1 million units to date and have expanded into Indonesia as of September 2013, thru a partnership with Indonesia renowned singer and actress Agnes Monica. Sean Ng also said that their devices are powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon mobile processors, a world leader in 3G, 4G and next-generation wireless technologies.

The company has established its revenue target of RM380 million by the end of 2014, projected from its expansion plans into Phillipines, Thailand and Vietnam.


Part of their efforts in humanizing their products will be to strengthen its Smart Communication project this year and incorporate collaborations with content providers and to implement Cloud-based E-tracking system in devices.


This aircraft livery is a mark of its ASEAN wide expansion plans and to launch its "so WOW for all" campaign that will be ongoing for a year to further expand Ninetology's reach towards users and partners in the country.

The "so WOW for all" is a whole year campaign in which Ninetology aimed at WOW-ing the public with the launch of Ninetology's latest device model as a start. 


The new U9J1 comes in different fancy colours - Rave Red, Classic Black, Fuchsia Pink and Neon Green. This full fledged Android can do everything a smartphone can do. The good news is, they're only priced at RM199.

The company will also be doing a monthly giveaway (themed #9Giveaway) on every 9th of the month.

Another "wow" in the pipeline is a heartwarming web-series, scheduled to be released in the second quarter of 2014.
