I have been eating a lot in recent weeks. Thank God, I am blessed with good gene that gives me no worries about putting on weight. But still, a little maintenance is needed before things went uncontrolled.
It was last Sunday when I went Melacca with my best friend. We wanted the trip to be on Saturday but I was too exhausted after my Singapore trip so we have decided to postpone the trip to Sunday.
Jonker 88
This restaurant is famous for their laksa.
Jonker Walk Night Market
Nothing exciting about the night market because the vendors are owner of the shops along Jonker Street. The only exciting thing is the seafood barbeque stalls at the back of the stage located at the entrance of Jonker Walk.

We stopped at Highway Cafe Ayer Keroh to have our first meal of the day.
There is this auntie in the stall who sells really good half-boiled egg. My friend has to stop by her cafe each time he passes the Rest Station.

This restaurant is famous for their laksa.
Nyonya Asam Laksa.
Baba Laksa Kahwin Nyonya Laksa.
Passion Fruit cendol.
I was so attracted to its color I have forgotten to try the famous Cendol made with Gula Melaka before my friend finishes the entire bowl!
The Orang Utan House
If you want to bring something home from Melacca, this is one of the best place!
We stopped at a Bird Nest shop next to the Orang Utan house to have some bird nest.
The friendly lady in the shop shared with us all the must-go places in Melacca.
Cheng Hoon Teng Temple
This is one of the oldest functioning temple in Malaysia practicing the Three Doctrinal System of Taoism, Confucianism and Buddhism.
Chung Wah Chicken Rice
The queue to this restaurant is still as crazy so we have decided to give up having their chicken rice ball and went somewhere else.
Hello Kitty Themed Dessert Shop
The dessert shop located just few steps away from the Hello Kitty Hotel.
When I was young, finishing food in bowls with pictures at the bottom gave me sense of achievement.
The dessert shop and their hotel are just few steps away!
Tong Bee, Back Alley Siham (cockle) Stall
This was what we were waiting for!
The stalls open after 7pm so if you want to have these, make sure you don't come during day time.
Why is this so popular?
Im not sure if it is just me, cockles in KL doesn't look this big and juicy anymore.
Butter Prawns, if I am not wrong.
They are really fresh and tasty!
Balitong.
This makes everything taste 1000x better!

Big fat juicy clams!
And Ikan Bakar.
Things are overpriced and better ones can be found in KL. But to have them in Jonker is an experience.
