Had a mixed feeling of sad and frustration waking up this morning knowing another plane has gone missing in the air. It is Air Asia this time departing from Surabaya carrying majority of passengers from Indonesia and some passengers from other countries including the Malaysian and Singaporean with their hopes and plans in mind on board the flight heading towards Singapore. This is another sad news I receive happening to people I can more closely relate to in this holiday season (not ignoring other unfortunate incidents happening in another part of the globe). First one was the heavy flood happening in Kelantan where two of my friends' family and friend have become victims of this catastrophe.
My prayers and thoughts with those on board the flight and victims of the flood.
I have spent my Christmas day with mum and sister shopping winter attire in preparation for our trip to Hong Kong early in 2015.
Everyone says we look like sisters.
What makes mum prouder was when a friend of hers mistaken my younger sister as their ex classmate. This became a story she will never get tired repeating to anyone who compliment her of looking younger than her actual age.
I have not taken any leaves from work so that I can reserve my annual leaves for the coming year. This upcoming trip to Hong Kong will be my first 'official' oversea trip with my family after giving up chances of vacations with them due to my busy schedule. I am looking forward to spend quality family time!
My good friend Wilee has moved to Subang months ago for her new job. Meeting up has become less convenient than ever but this has not stopped us from making plans to meet occasionally especially when she and her boyfriend Andrew need another kaki for steamboat or BBQ.
I am a fan of BBQ but as I grow up, everyone gets busier and nobody likes to clean up after a BBQ party anymore so there's no more volunteer to organize BBQ party. I'll gather a few friends to visit restaurants that provide BBQ grilling service whenever addiction attacks. Happy City is one steamboat BBQ buffet restaurant 3 of us frequent until Wilee got really fed up. Having no idea which restaurant in KL serves BBQ dining I posted a status on Facebook seeking suggestions and received a few responses, one of which was a Japanese BBQ restaurant located in Taman Desa.
This is an outdoor BBQ restaurant unlike Happy City so you may want to avoid visit on heavy rainy days. Shelters available are only enough to cope drizzles.
Pork Belly and ....
RECOMMENDED DISH!
Andrew our favourite chef of the day. Give Andrew a BBQ furnace and he turns any cooking ingredients finger-licking good.
This Italian dessert is new to me. I love it a little sweet sour serves with fresh berries and grapes.

Here's my baby sister Joanna who grows fatter each year and a baby on the other side of the glass panel who got her mother's purse soaked with her saliva after a few unsuccessful attempts of unbuckling.

This Gengkhistan Lamb is a must-order especially in rainy days.
The Gengkhistan Lamb cutlets were served together with soup in shallow steamboat pot like those used in BBQ Plaza but this pot is slightly deeper than BBQ's Plaza so it contains more soup.

All time BBQ and steamboat favourite - Mushroom mixed!

RECOMMENDED DISH!
Very tasty squid marinated with garlics wrapped in aluminium foil!
Sorry ah my closed up shots suck because I am new to my Sony a5100. Has yet to figure out its functions and how to take better pictures with it.

Portions of each dish listed here is sufficient for 1 or 2. If you come in more than 2 you might want to consider ordering around 4-5 dishes or more for the gluttons! Certain items are slightly overpriced in my opinion.
I am comfortable with the environment here although it is a simply set-up stall. Floors and table are reasonably clean and tidy and waiters are responsive to the customers' needs.

We moved to a new Italian restaurant located behind the popular Zab Zab Boat Noodle restaurant in Kuchai Lama for desserts after our Japanese BBQ session. Most western restaurants/cafes here are cozy for chit-chatting with food and beverages catering for the younger crowd and this made Basil Pasta House a little bit different from the rest.
I fell in love to the interior as I walked in from the main door. Wall was painted in Apple green with simple and bright decorations. Most tables were seated by families and youngsters although it was already late at about 9pm.
First that came to our table was this Creme Brulee. Their Brulee wasn't overly sweetened and it was made a little more solid compare to the others I had.
Andrew's favourite fruit waffle stuffed with strawberries and whipped cream.
This berries sabayon is Wilee's must-order during her every visit.
