I know right, my eye bags are so huge that I can keep ikan bilis in it.
Friends complained that I've been quiet on Instagram and Facebook lately. Reason is that I was away for Miss Malaysia Tourism's boot camp for 6 days. The boot camp was held in Subang Grand Dorsett Hotel, Kuala Lumpur. Thank God it wasn't too far away from home so arranging transport back and forth the hotel didn't gave me too much pain in the head.
We checked into the hotel at 10.30am that morning.
Welcome speech were given that very morning before we were each allocated to our room together with our rommate before our visits to popular tourist destinations in KL.
I would say I am lucky to have Jess as my roomate.
We never have to fight for bathroom and vanity table. Both Jess and I have our own comfort corners as well as comfort timing. It took me longer to bath and be prepared so I am always the first to wake up to use the bathroom and last to unwind each time we reached the hotel.
# First day.
That's when I discover how much curls suit me. If it is being done nicely. Otherwise it can really turn out to be disastrous.
We got to know each other better during our first meal together at Royal China located in Jln Bukit Bintang.
I really love having dinner at this swanky and cool restaurant.
# Second day.
Pony tail isn't anything new but if they're being done 'professionally' you can look good during sports time too!
This is a good place for those who wanted to spend their weekends with friends and family on a limited budget. Rental for BBQ accessories and camps are available so you can bring your friends here for a BBQ session during their birthdays!
Of everything, this is what all of us anticipate since day 1!
The organizer was so kind to bring us here for a soothing aromatic massage after all the extreme water sport challenges.
# Third day.
I love this evening gown from Enya Mareine so much I wish I could bring it home after the shooting for cover girl challenge.
Cuttings, linings and details were made so meticulous I couldn't help taking lotsa pictures with it.
Material used feels just so comfortable on our skins.
Evening gown always pricks ( I have no idea why that happen to me) but this doesn't.
# Fourth Day.
This hairstyle reminds me of the popular musical film Hair Spray.
The Cooking Challenge was one of the activities that excited me most because I really love cooking!
Eventhough our team hasn't won the best-cook subtitle, all of us walked away with secrets to making quality dish that impress!
I have never bathe a dog in my life because I am allergic towards animals' furs but that day, I have did it together with other finalist and it was an entirely new experience to me :P
We have visited the home of the homeless that morning. This time, it was not a visit to old folks home nor orphanage house but the house of the homeless animals. SPCA (Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals) is an animal welfare organisation based in Ampang Jaya where they aim to protect the defenseless animals and to alleviate their sufferings.
These dogs and cats were being spayed to prevent unwanted birth.
If you are looking to keep a pet, adopt one instead of buying.
Give them a second chance at life.
All of us were ready to face the media for the very first time in our batik dress.
I couldn't remember vividly which day did the press conference held because I have not kept the schedule after the boot camp. But I believe it falls on the 3rd or 4th day so you might be seeing our pictures in a few mainstream newspaper around these few days.
# Fifth day.
HUrrayyyy!!! It was the last one day of the bootcamp and all of us couldn't wait to get home!
I really missed my bed so much at the same time, my heart felt really heavy to leave my awesome roomie Jess as well as the new friends I have made during this week :(
I put together all the gifts we have gotten from the sponsors. Trust me, I had really tough them bringing them back home because I am already carrying 2 huge luggages!
Last day, like finally!
How I wish I can bring this cheongsam batik home after the souvenir book photo shooting session!
Why Pageant?
I see this as a platform to get closer to my dream in becoming a philanthropist. To do something beneficial to the society such as building hospitals or schools. These couldn't be done single handedly so I wish by gaining enough exposure through competitions I could inspire the people around me to share the same goal.
Not only that, the world should know how awesome Malaysia is with all the beautiful beaches and rainforest we have here. Everyone should visit our country at least once in their lifetime! No where in the world serves that much of good food like we do thanks to the multi-culture we have here *smile*
We have been through the entire 6 days boot camp and in order to move on to the finale, we need votes!
My picture in the voting page wasn't impressive.
Knowing me personally/ if you have been reading my blog for sometime, you know I don't look like that...
Riggggght? :P
Vote for me at http://www.facebook.com/MissMalaysiaTourism if you think I should be standing on the stage during the Grand Finale happening on early July.
I tried to ask a friend to vote for me but he couldn't find my picture from the voting list and when I pointed it to him he couldn't believed what he saw.
Okay lah, I know you know.
Votes can be casted daily.
Feel free to cast your vote everyday at your convenience.
