I don't often paint my nails because I don't have the patience to wait for nail polish to dry. There are nail polish with shorter drying time but painting them on to my right hand can be a nightmare because I can't control my left hand. This usually resulted in me having really ugly right hand manicure comparing to my left hand. Going to nail salon can easily burn a hole in my pocket which I would rather spend those money elsewhere because manicure don't last. They torn after a few weeks and I don't like wearing torn manicure so I will usually remove them completely when I see a little bit chip. And of all, I don't want nail polish to damage my nail cuticles.
I love window shopping at Sasa. Walking into that place gives me ideas what and where to spend my monies, which is very very unhealthy for my bank account. But still, I can't resist the temptation of walking into it. So below was what happened during my last trip to Sasa:
I got myself a DIY instant nail applique.
It never came across my mind I would spend on nail stickers. So what triggered my buying impulse?
(i)This works like tattoo stickers.
When I was a child, I love tattoo stickers that came as "surprise gift" packaged with my favourite snacks and I would stick them all over my arm and got scolded by mum (she believes those tattoo stickers cause skin allergy).
(ii)They are made of real nail polish.
This can be told from its texture and smell.
(iii)3 in 1 nail polish (base coat + color coat + top coat).
This saves a lot a lot of drying time!
(iii)No drying time!!
(iv) Just peel to remove.
They can be removed with nail polish remover because they were made with real nail polish. But I encourage peeling off to save hassle.
These were Sanrio patented so you don't have to worry having distorted Sanrio character faces on your nails. I seriously hate pirated animated characters because their nose or eyes were often not in place, the length of their hands, legs, body are always not in proportion,. The color of the character and what they wear are often incorrect.
This little manicure box contains:
(i) 20 nail strips in 10 different sizes
Just enough for your hands and feet and you can match your nails size accordingly.
(ii) nail file
This is for you to file off excess nail stickers on your nails.
(iii) double headed stick
You will find this very very useful in application.
(iv) Zipper bags
for you to store unused stickers because they dried off under open air.
Choose one that matches your nail size and use the double-headed stick for application.
Trim the excess with nail file. In my case I used nail clippers (that was why I ruined the whole thing *cry*). These nail stickers melt with nail polish remover because they were made of nail polish. Be mindful that there's a thin film in between the nail stickers which work to hold the nail polish together after the cartoons and colors melted.
I know the result look ugly hahahahaha! Sorry for the unpleasant sight because I have applied them upside down. Application was supposed to be much easier than how I made it. Watch how Cheesie does it.
I am wearing them for 2 days now and they are still perfectly in place. Unlike usual manicure, they don't wear off after house chores.
