Look at this crazy queue.

I saw my friend while I was queuing but she has decided to give up so I couldn't say hi to her.
If you haven't heard of Ippudo, I would say...
HOW COULD YOU
The founder of IPPUDO is not any Tom, Dick, Harry but a man who was crowned the king of ramen in 2005 and holds a place in the Ramen Hall of Fame after winning the championship 3 times consecutively between 1995-1998, on "TV Champion Ramen Chef", a Japanese reputable television show produced by TV Tokyo.
I am not a fan of cucumber unless they were being made nicely.
This one certainly excited my tastebud. Not only the gravy goes well with the cucumber, the freshness of the plant was reserved.
When you go to IPPUDO, you will see this on almost everyone's table.
The first thing that came to my mind when I saw this was Bear's Paws.
Bear's Paws originated from Taiwan while this came from Japan.
The difference between the two were that this one tasted less like fast food. You know? Those refrigerated instant patty.
Credit must be given to the nicely cooked, juicy content :)
If I am not mistaken, the patty was made of pork. If not, chicken flesh.
All that I remember was the prawns' firm and bouncy flesh and how tasty they went with the mayonnaise beneath.

This was just what started from where I stood.
You don't wanna know what was behind me.

Karaka-men is their signature ramen.
Akamaru Shinaji.
Don't be deceived by its look, this wasn't too spicy.
The chef said the ramen's broth tastes better with grinded sesame seeds.
IPPUDO was founded in Japan in 1985 in Japan's capital of Hakata by Shigemi Kahawara. That's why you can see the word Hakata on their signature wall.

The texture of the ramen pulled by the founder of IPPUDO, Shigemi Kawahara is impeccable.
Just so you know, hand-pulled ramen has higher water content compare to those roll-and-cut giving it a firmer texture.
The hardness of the noodles can be adjusted according to your preference.
From very soft, soft, hard to very hard.
Hard is always my choice.
Don't misinterpret my words you pollute-minded ;P
The best part about IPPUDO ramen was the broth, so nicely cooked I emptied the bowl.
I think the white patches were pig fats. Those are the 'ohhmp!' factor of this entire tastiness so if you are on diet, forget it just for this one bowl. You only live once!
Before I forget, this restaurant serves pork therefore it's not halal.
Besides ramen, they do serve other side dishes.
Below are a few recommended ones by their chefs.

I never liked dumplings like this because of how the added kansui spoils their texture but this one tasted really smooth. And the soup was really nice too!
Their store was located right above La Bodega in Pavillion.
