13th November 2013

We departed from Kuala Lumpur at about 8pm by car and arrived at Singapore at about 3am in the morning. The first place we went was Lorong 9 Geylang, for the famous Beef Kuey Teow before we checked into the 4-Star Hotel Clover located at North Bridge Road.

I thought this antique phone placed on the long desk in the hotel lobby was merely a decorative item but it functions!

I traveled to Singapore rather frequently for work in the past one year but haven't got the time to visit any places. This trip to Singapore was an entirely leisure trip so we've decided to explore around.

We went to Universal Studio after an afternoon event.

You haven't been to Singapore if you've not stepped in to Universal Studio.

S.E.A Aquarium is a must-visit because it is the world's largest aquarium accredited by GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS housed more than 800 species of marine animals.

Strait of Karimata & Java Sea

We were led to this huge aquarium after watching the 4D theatre. I thought it was just another 4D theatre like what we have in Genting Highland but this one was so 4D it sprinkled water on us when the screen was playing rain scene!

There is a huge shipwreck habitat in the aquarium.

Shark Seas a home to 200 sharks!

We walked over to Universal Studio after our visit to the Marine Park.
The weather was rather breezy that day.

The queue for a snap with the Sesame characters were so long I have decided to press a coin with the little machine available in the Sesame Street merchandise store as souvenir.

I love Elmo!

First meal of the day was Peking Duck in Paragon.

I never loved ducks but I am totally in love with this!

The skin of the duck was so crispy and thin.
Tenderness of the flesh was just nice.

Takashimaya was our last stop before we left Orchard Road.

We were here for Laduree's Macarons.

Laduree is a French Luxury bakery and sweets maker house. They are one of the top premier sellers of the double-decker macaron and are still one of the best known makers of macarons in the world.

You can choose the box design according to your preference.

I personally think that the texture and taste of Laduree Macarons are better than The Little Royal Macarons in Sydney, Australia.

We had our last meal in Singapore at Paradise Dynasty in Causeway Point, the seventh largest suburban shopping mall in Singapore, located in the town centre of Woodlands.

Each 小笼包 Xiao Long Bao contained different flavor of soups and fillings.

I can't remember exactly which contains what but I remember the soup in the pink one tastes pepper. Compare this to other restaurants famous for their Xiao Long Bao, 鼎泰丰 Din Tai Fung's has thinner skin.

Also Available in Paradigm Mall, Kelana Jaya, Malaysia.

I still come here for Koi eventhough the Bubble Tea trend has cooled down.
The reason is as simple as, no one sells better Passion Fruit Aloe Vera than Koi in KL except 橘子工访 Orange House, Taiwan.
